Hybrids / Light Touring Hire

We had huge success with the Velocity from Ridgeback’s Metro Series as our hire staple for the past several years. Therefor when rejuvinating the fleet we decided to stick with the Metro Series, but this time have moved up a model to the Vanteo which offers stronger hydraulic braking and a better quality gear shift, while holding the same hardiness and reliability. We have armed all of the Vanteos with full length mudguards and a pannier rack making it suitable for nipping about town, a leisurely ride in the sun or a bit of light touring - some of Velocitys even made it to Inverness and back! Available in a range of sizes and gender specific models Vanteo is a true do-all bike that customers have been very impressed with as a commuter or all-rounder.

Adventure Road / Gravel Hire

If you're planning a trip on the road bikes but not quite sure what the state of the roads are going to be in, the route isn't 100% confirmed or there could be a requirement for going slightly off-piste to get to your destination, our adventure road fleet - made up of Whyte's incredibly popular Friston could be the ideal solution. Also as part of the fleet is Cannondale's Topstone which has been hugely popular since lauching in the shop at the beginning of 2019. With wide 37c tyres on 700c wheels, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, bolt though axles front and rear, and super-stable handling, the Friston and Topstone will eat up the miles at some rate and push the boundaries of what can ridden with a drop bar.

Mountain Bike Hire

Our mountain bike hire fleet is made up with a bike from Whyte's 900 series - a super aggressive range that is fantastic at climbing and even better at descending. Ridden by more than half of the staff in store and hailed as the greatest hardtail ever we felt that the 901 would be an incredible offering for folk looking to take on some of Scotland's superb trails, allowing riders to push their limits and not the limits of our hire fleet! This bike is definitely a premium choice of bike but at a generous non-premium rate.

Carbon Road Bike Hire

Ride like a champion with our carbon fibre road bike fleet made up from Cervelo's R2. The R2 is Cervelo's entry point in to carbon road bikes, armed with a benchmark of good quality components. Shimano's 105 groupset takes care of the gear shifts providing good quality and reliable gear changes while Shimano's sturdy yet lightweight RS wheels provide a smooth ride and low rolling resistance. Whether you're visiting Glasgow and didn't bring your own bike or you're looking get a flavour of Cervelo, taking the R2 away for a weekend will give you a great insight as to just how well Cerverlo's R-Series ride, and an incredible weekend away obviously!

Electric Bike Hire

It's the future of cycling and it's getting more and more popular by the day! If you haven't tried an e-bike before you'll understand what all the fuss is about as soon as you start pedalling one. For our fleet of hire e-bikes we have chosen two models – the Ridgeback's hugely popular Electron and the Whyte’s chunkier tired gent’s Cliffton and women’s Highgate. Both brands offer a hybrid e-bike which will suit anybody whether looking to dot about exploring Glasgow or goingfurther afield to put some leisurely miles in. The Electron offers an easy to get on and off step through frame and a more tradition upright cycling position while the Whyte’s offer a more mountain bike style cycling position for a more nimble and dynamic ride. Both utilise Shimano's Steps motor and battery system providing power as you turn the pedals, giving you a helping hand while not doing all of the work for you. With, mudguards, integrated lights and a pannier rack these bike are great versatile and reliable e-bikes - just don't go tackling any gnarly mountain bike tracks!
