Like a regular Croix de Fer, but with a flat bar. Whether you want a more manoeuvrable bike, a more upright position or just never get in the drops, our Croix de Fer flat bar is ready and waiting. Built from our Mjölnir Chromoly steel tubing it features all the hallmarks of our original go anywhere bike.
Genesis have however made a few additions to improve to the Croix de Fer’s versatility. Major updates to the cornerstone of their range include the ability to run 42mm tyres on the provided 700c rims, or 47mm tyres on a 650B wheelset. Standard QR dropouts mean your 9mm wheelsets can keep turning for another few years.
The drivetrain has been upgraded to Shimano’s excellent GRX, featuring a 46/30T double chainset, an 11-34T cassette and RX400 derailleurs for reliable, smooth shifting, while the stopping is handled by Shimano’s MT200 hydraulic disc brakes. Tubeless ready rims and tyres, flat mount disc brakes, a third bottle mount, rack and guard mounts and fixings for Anything Cages on the forks complete the package.

Every bike we sell is fully assembled and tested for safety by our trained mechanics. We then partly disassemble the bike and carefully re-pack to prepare for shipping.
Depending on the model, upon receipt you may be required to straighten and tighten the handlebars, reattach front wheel and attach the pedals. Please ensure that the pedals are greased and fitted correctly - the pedals will be marked L and R and have to be fitted to the left and right cranks respectively. Pedal do not come with every bike and need to be bough separately, especially on more high-end models. Please check when you are ordering.
There is a guide in the box telling you which tools you will need and the steps to follow. This will require some degree of mechanical skill to put together and can need some minor adjustments. The less confident you are in this field the more we'd recommend having it checked over by a professional mechanic.
