Three – Croix de Fer Ti, Cannondale Habit Full Sus and Genesis Tarn Hardtail
My Croix de fer Ti – Built in 2020 for getting out more and what better encouragement than a new bike. Chosen as I love steel bikes and wanted something a little special. So Titanium was the only way to go. Exploring is the aim with this bike, having that option to find the hidden path or ride comfortably through some of our crumbling roads. Something I took as a challenge on our black ride day. I aimed to stay off the roads as much as possible, finding abandoned paths and some mud which the bike handled awesomely. It does everything and it does it great. From road miles, graveling adventure and commuting. It also looks gorgeous.
Dropper seatpost – A godsend on the mountain bike. Don’t think I could have a mountain bike without one now.
Forest trails at Lanark/Wishaw. They are a small collection of short handmade trails with varying difficulties and conditions. Great for sessioning and riding with mates. It also has a punchy climb to get the heart going.
It will probably be an e-bike. Something to take the hills away. Just to make the most of riding, getting more done in the short amount of time I get for riding
